MONROE - Classes at Monroe County Community College were cancelled Tuesday because of a power outage on the main campus.
The power failure began with the flickering of lights about 11:15 a.m. and electricity on campus went down a short time later, said Joe Verkennes, a spokesman for the college.
The community college decided to cancel classes for the rest of the day about 12:15 p.m. both on the main campus on Raisinville Road and the Whitman Center on Lewis Avenue in Temperance.
Classes are expected to resume Wednesday.
