Want to ask the next superintendent a question?

The Toledo Board of Education has scheduled a day of questions and answers for the public with the two finalists for the Toledo Public Schools job.

It will take place Thursday at the WGTE studios at 1270 South Detroit Ave. Those interested can go to the studio or watch online at www.knowledgestream.org. WGTE plans to carry the meetings live, and anyone can submit questions on the Web site.

The two candidates are Jerome Pecko, former superintendent for Springfield Local Schools near Akron, and Dr. Tom Watkins, president of an educational consulting firm and former Michigan superintendent of public instruction.

The town hall style meeting will be held at the WGTE studios. Mr. Pecko will be there from 6 to 7 p.m., and Mr. Watkins will be there from 7 to 8 p.m.
