FOSTORIA — The Fostoria City Schools' board of education voted this week to demolish the vacant Field Elementary School.

The school was closed this school year as part of a district realignment.

Superintendent Steve Pritts told the board that renovating the school, built in 1908, would cost more than $500,000.

Demolition bids have ranged from $38,750 to $93,000.
