The 4.9-mill Sylvania City Schools levy proposal on the May 2 ballot will be the subject of three community forums next week at local schools.

Sylvania Board of Education members, school administrators, and levy committee chairmen will give presentations during the sessions, to be held Tuesday at Stranahan Elementary School, 3840 Holland-Sylvania Rd.; April 13 at Arbor Hills Junior High School, 5334 Whiteford Rd., and April 14 at McCord Junior High School, 4304 McCord Rd.

Each forum is to begin at 7 p.m.

The levy would raise an estimated $7.1 million annually for the district and cost the owner of a $100,000 house $150 in annual tax. The school district's finances will be a focus of forum discussion.
