FREMONT — Teachers and classified employees in the Fremont City Schools are to receive 1.5 percent raises in each of the next two years under a contract approved by the school board.
The new two-year contracts with the Fremont Education Association and the Ohio Association of Public School Employees Local 321 are to be effective from July 1 of this year through June 30, 2013.
Superintendent Traci McCaudy said the raises were made possible in part by a prior agreement in which employees agreed to pay a greater share of their health-care premiums.
Also at Monday night’s meeting, the school board approved five-year employment contracts with Ms. McCaudy and the district’s treasurer, David Chambers.
