CLYDE, Ohio — After voters on Tuesday defeated a request for new operating dollars, the Clyde-Green Springs school board voted Wednesday to try again in August.

The board unanimously agreed to place the same 4.9-mill, three-year operating levy on the Aug. 2 special election ballot. The levy was defeated, 1,312 to 741, Tuesday. If approved it would bring in $1.08 million a year and cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $150 a year.
