Full-time students at Owens Community College will see tuition increase by 3.5 percent next fall, although trustees agreed this week to hike tuition slightly more if the state budget bill allows it.

John Satkowski, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Owens, said tuition will increase $4.61 per credit hour, which would mean a full-time student taking 30 credit hours would see tuition rise from $3,690 this year to $3,818 next year for a total increase of $128.

Mr. Satkowski said if the state lifts the 3.5 percent cap on tuition increases, trustees authorized the college to increase tuition by a maximum of $200 a year for full-time students.
