Arbor Hills gets new assistant principal

Sylvania school board selects Timothy Zieroff

Timothy Zieroff replaces Josh Tyburski, now the principal at Whiteford Elementary.

The Sylvania Board of Education has appointed Timothy Zieroff assistant principal at Arbor Hills Junior High School.

Mr. Zieroff will be paid $82,000 and replaces Josh Tyburski, who is now principal of Whiteford Elementary. Mr. Zieroff arrives in Sylvania from Swanton Middle School, where he was dean of students. He also was athletic director at Swanton High School, responsible for scheduling games, officials, and event workers, and he participated in the planning of new athletic facilities.

He also taught business education and computers at the middle school in Swanton and language arts and social studies at the former Township Elementary. Her also did stints as varsity coach for basketball, golf, and softball.

Mr. Zieroff got a bachelor of education degree in elementary education from the University of Toledo in 1997 and a master of educational technology there in 2004. He received his principal certification and licensure from the University of Findlay in May.
