BGSU taps Texas woman as communications chief

BOWLING GREEN — An administrator at the University of Texas at Austin has been named chief communications officer at Bowling Green State University.

Robin Gerrow, assistant vice president in the Office of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, is to assume her new job in BGSU’s Office of Marketing and Communication Sept. 30. She is to be paid $140,000 a year.

In her new position, Ms. Gerrow will be a member of President Mary Ellen Mazey’s Cabinet, providing leadership direction for marketing, communications, public relations, and strategy.

A native of West Virginia, she has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marshall University and a master’s degree in communication management from Syracuse University.
