Two fourth-grade students at Marshall Elementary School have been disciplined as a result of a fist- fight in their classroom Wednesday, school officials said.

Patty Mazur, Toledo Public Schools spokesman, said Thursday that both boys have been suspended but she did not know for how long.

A Toledo police report states that the pair, both 11 and in the same class, were working together on a project when they started to quarrel, then pushed each other and started throwing punches.

One of the boys fell and hit his head on a desk.

The boy was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he was treated, Ms. Mazur said.

The report says Wednesday was the victim's first day at Marshall; Ms. Mazur did not know the circumstances of his transfer to the school.
