Toledo City Council approved 10-2 a special use permit for the establishment of a new charter school at 600 Jefferson Ave in downtown.

It was the second time council had voted on the issue. The second vote was requested last week by Councilman Tyrone Riley who mistakenly

abstained from the process the first time around.

Councilmen Steve Steel and Lindsay Webb voted against authorizing the permit.
