Owens events aimed at prospective students

FINDLAY — Owens Community College in Findlay at 3200 Bright Rd. is sponsoring activities this week to allow prosective students a chance to learn about the college’s educational programs and resources.

Registration is required for the events, which run today through Saturday.

Today’s informational session will begin at 5 p.m. in the Education Center Atrium and will include information on admissions and the registration process, placement testing, student activities, and resources.

Other Discover Owens Week events include new-student orientation sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday.

On Wednesday, high school students are invited to experience Owens Day from 4 to 7 p.m. with registration in the Education Center Atrium. Prospective students can register to sit in on a class and experience what it’s like to attend college.

Saturday is Adult Student Day from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Education Center Atrium.
