Ken Dymond’s leadership in the Evergreen High School science department and his national board certification as a science instructor help to infuse inquiry based teaching techniques in the classroom. Mr. Dymond holds a bachelors and masters in education from Bowling Green State University, and in 2001, he was awarded the prestigious national board certification in teaching adolescence and young adulthood science. He has served as a chemistry teacher at Terra Community College in Fremont, and co-taught a course at Bowling Green State University on extinction as a biological process.

He is the recipient of the Outstanding Environmental Science Teacher Award in 1995, and has earned numerous grants for encouraging the use of technology and school-wide recycling and energy conservation programs.

“Ken Dymond uses different combinations of pedagogical tools that promote inquiry-based learning,” said Mark Basilius, principal. “This makes science more exciting and helps our students better understand complicated science concepts. This aids our students in their understanding of the world around them.”
