Forum scheduled on substitute teaching

Holders of noneducational bachelor’s degrees who are interested in becoming substitute teachers are invited to the district’s free forum Jan. 7 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the basement of the Bulldog Center.

Also invited are substitute teachers in area districts and Rossford substitutes who have not attended a previous session. Parking is available in the rear lot, and attendees should enter through the rear door.

The goal is to inform nonteachers about substitute teaching in the Rossford district and help substitute teachers better themselves by being more prepared and confident at each grade level. Information will be shared about the district's buildings and classroom management strategies. Attendees will receive a handbook containing helpful information and procedures about each building, organizational tools, and resource information.
