The Rossford junior and senior high schools were placed on lockdown today after a student was reported to have an Airsoft gun in a locker, according to Rossford Exempted Village Schools.

Police were called about 2:20 p.m. after both schools - which are connected - were locked down after a junior high student was reported to have the Airsoft gun, high school principal Tony Brashear said. Police arrested the student who had the gun in his locker, and a second student who brought the gun to school, Mr. Brashear said.

The schools were locked down for about 15 minutes. Mr. Brashear said he didn't believe the students involved made any threats to other students or to staff.
