ADRIAN — Adrian College has received a $1 million charitable grant from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation that will support renovation of two campus buildings, the college announced Tuesday.

Peelle Hall and Jones Hall, which house the college’s science and business classes, are to be renovated at an expected cost of $12 million. Work at Peelle will create research, teaching, and conference space for science and math programs. The business administration and accounting departments will be the main beneficiaries of the work at Jones. Ground is to be broken in the spring.
