2 PhD candidates win research scholarships

Two doctoral psychology students from the University of Toledo were recently awarded scholarships to help with research projects relating to social psychology and health.

Jill Brown received the Ford Family Foundation Scholarship while she was an undergraduate at Oregon State University. The scholarship was extended for her studies at UT.

Shane Close was awarded the Graduate McNair Scholarship, which is geared toward those who are first-generation, low-income or minority college students.
