A free, five-part class to help parents prepare their children for challenges they’ll face in middle and high school begins Jan. 15 at Lake Elementary School in Millbury.

Guiding Good Choices, a nationally recognized program, gives parents the skills to help reduce or prevent substance abuse and other potential problems for children ages 7 to 14. It also teaches parents how to resolve family conflicts and express anger constructively.

Child care and a light meal are provided at each session, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

Registration is available with Greg Bonnell at the Wood County Educational Service Center, 419-354-9010.
