Friends of library group to convene Thursday
1/15/2013The Friends of the Elmore Public Library will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the library, 328 Toledo St. The officers and steering committee will meet at 6 p.m.
The group was organized a year ago to oversee public service projects, and in that time has judged the library's Teen Poetry Contest, provided treats for library staff during National Library Week, and organized a fund-raiser selling items from Carruth Studios. It is raising money to buy a movable display shelf for the library. New members are welcome.
