TIFFIN — Trustees at Heidelberg University have extended the contract of President Robert Huntington to June, 2018.

Mr. Huntington was given a rolling contract in 2011 intended to automatically turn into another five-year contract at the end of each year.

So far under his tenure, the university has completed five building renovation or construction projects, including the first new residence hall in 60 years. A fund-raising campaign is under way to build an athletic stadium and alumni center.
