The Oregon Board of Education agreed tonight to put a renewal of the district's permanent improvement levy on the May 7 ballot.

The 2-mill, five-year property tax, which is estimated to generate $1,018,277 in the first year, has been used to buy technology for classrooms, to maintain and repair buildings, to buy and maintain buses, and to make textbook purchases.

The current levy expires at the end of the year.
