COLUMBUS — The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies and Ohio State University’s John Glenn School of Public Affairs have recognized WSOS Community Action for its after school program with its best-practices award.
The Fremont agency was among five agencies in the state that were recently recognized for innovative and effective programs that help low-income people become more self-sufficient.
The best-practice awards were selected by judges who evaluated each nomination independently and assigned points based on their assessment of each nomination.
WSOS works with Fremont City Schools to provide after-school programs for elementary school students designed to keep children safe, improve their academic achievements, and help working families.
