Monroe County Community College is seeking employers and service organizations to participate in the third-annual Career and Opportunity Expo, to be held April 12. Last year, more than 400 job seekers attended the event, which featured 88 exhibitors.

The expo is to feature employers and resources for students, veterans, and the community. MCCC is to host the event in partnership with Siena Heights University, Eastern Michigan University, Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology, Monroe County Employment and Training Department, Pure Michigan Veterans Services Division, South Central Michigan Works!, and MCCC Student Government.

The expo is designed to bring together students, colleges, employers, veterans, and community members and highlight employment opportunities and available resources for returning service members.

The free event is to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Welch Health Education Building on main campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe. Check-in goes from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The registration fee is $50 for employers and $25 for service groups.

Exhibitor registration information is available at www.monroeccc.edu/careerexpo/ or by contacting Barry Kinsey, director of work force development and chair of the expo, at bkinsey@monroeccc.edu or 734-384-4124.
