Wauseon board of education makes $375,000 in cuts

WAUSEON - The Wauseon Board of Education voted 5-0 today to approve $375,000 in budget cuts that would call for employee reductions.

The school district plans to cut one gym teacher, one third grade teacher, one French teacher, and five other supplemental teacher contracts. They also plan to restructure the technology department to save $38,000.

The board voted during a regularly scheduled meeting.
