Monroe school choirs advance to state festival
3/18/2013The Michigan School Vocal Music Association awarded Excellent ratings to all three of Monroe Middle School’s choirs at the District 12 festival at Whitmore Lake High School this month.
The rating means each choir — eighth grade, seventh grade, and Jubilation — has qualified to perform at the state competition in May. The high ratings were earned despite this year’s raised standards, making it significantly more difficult to qualify for the state festival.
