Board approves reading, math programs for 2013

At its regular meeting last week, the board of education approved the 2013 elementary intervention program, including its fees and instructors.

The fee for reading or math is $25 for one subject and $35 for the two subjects. The prices are the same as last year’s.

The program will be held from July 29 through Aug. 9. The instructors are Lori Csizek, Amy Clouse, Kim Frederick, and Denise Melter.

The board also renewed for the 2013-14 school year its contract with Northwest Ohio Educational Technology at a cost of $6,239.10.

The board accepted the resignation of D.J. Michel, elementary phys ed teacher, effective at the end of the school year.

The Woodmore district will hold the groundbreaking ceremony for its prekindergarten-to-eighth-grade building on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The building will be built next to the elementary school in Woodville, which is at 708 W. Main St.

The board office in Elmore will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m. for the event.
