Voters in the Woodmore district will decide in November on the renewal of a five-year emergency operating levy.

The levy doesn’t expire until the end of 2014, but the board of education decided to go to the voters early as a precaution, Treasurer Kevin Slates said. The amount needed is $829,000, and auditors in Ottawa and Sandusky counties will calculate the millage to be collected.

That millage is expected to be about the same as the current collection, 5.5 mills. Voters adopted the levy in August, 2009.
