Katie has taken on various teaching responsibilities in her time at Cardinal Stritch High School. This year she readily accepted new challenges in her teaching schedule. Students find her classes engaging and entertaining, because of creatively designed projects. Katie also moderates the National Honor Society and Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) chapter. She is a retreat leader and works with the Campus Ministry Department. Katie firmly conveys the mission of the school by engaging the students beyond the classroom. She is a fan of students and devotes her time to teaching more than academics, but life-long skills and lessons.

"Katie is a vibrant teacher who believes in and encourages every student," said Tim Malone, Principal. "Her person-first attitude makes every student believe he or she is a cherished member of the Cardinal Stritch High School community. She is a dynamic classroom teacher and constantly works to help our students become Disciples of Christ."

Katie holds an M.A. in English and American Literature, and a B.S. in English education from Indiana State University.
