Perrysburg school board recognizes high-achieving students

The Perrysburg school board honored many groups last Monday.

Jordan Doore, Taylor Monheim, Allie Kemp, and Courtney Clody were recognized for winning the indoor 800-meter girls relay at the state championship meet. Their coach credited their success to running outdoors in 12-degree weather.

Wrestlers were honored after winning the program’s fourth straight Northern Lakes League title. The team came in second in the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament in Columbus too.

The Northwest Ohio Art Education Association talked up the 35th annual Youth Art Month Exhibition that Perrysburg elementary school students worked on.

The Ohio Music Education Association recognized all-state students.
