The Oregon City Schools Board of Education is to swear in Dan Saevig as its newest member at its regular meeting today.

Mr. Saevig, 52, fills the unexpired term of P.J. Kapfhammer, who resigned last month and was replaced as board president by Carol-Ann Molnar.

Mr. Saevig is a life-long resident of Oregon and a graduate of its schools. He is employed by the University of Toledo, where he is associate vice president for alumni relations and executive director of the alumni association.  He holds a bachelor‘‍s degree in communication and a master of business administration from UT.

He lives in the Oregon with his wife Dianne and their daughter, Danielle, a sophomore at the University of Toledo studying premed.
