An Iowa legislator will offer his take on how Toledo’s water crisis might be related to climate change during a speech at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 in Room 1000 of the University of Toledo’s Plant Operations building, 2925 E. Rocket Drive.

State Sen. Rob Hogg, a leader in renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings, watershed management, and natural resources has prepared a speech titled, “Is America Ready for Climate Action?”

Mr. Hogg, of Cedar Rapids, is author of a 2013 book, America's Climate Century: What Climate Change Means for America in the 21st Century and What Americans Can Do About It. He is visiting Ohio as part of a three-day climate action tour, with additional stops scheduled in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.

This event is hosted by UT’s SEED Initiative.
