The utility s rate in September will be just a fraction over 98 cents. Customers were paying just under 98 cents this month. The company estimates the average customer bill next month to be about $26, the same as in August.
The rate applies only to customers who buy their gas from Columbia Gas.
Last September, the utility was charging $1.06 per 100 cubic feet, and the average bill was $27.51.
