First Solar, Inc. named a 2013 Military Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs magazine

TEMPE, Ariz. — First Solar Inc. has been designated a 2013 Military Friendly Employer by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine.

The rankings are based on military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with military service, retention programs, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

First Solar was born in Toledo but now has its headquarters in Tempe, Ariz. Its only U.S. manufacturing facility is in Perrysburg Township. The company said approximately 8 percent of its 1,700 U.S. associates are veterans or have military affiliations.
