Gas line work to close parts of Elm Street

Gas line construction will close parts of Elm Street on a sequential, block-by-block basis, starting today and continuing into August, the city transportation division announced.

Columbia Gas will lay gas mains along Elm between Pearl and Erie streets, starting at the Pearl end. No more than two blocks will be closed at a time, the transportation division said.
