Dinner Tonight: Cheese Ball

1/1/2013

Any day is a good day to serve a cheese ball, but New Year’s Day is better than most. Gayle Campbell loved to make her beloved mother’s recipe, so she was understandably upset when Kraft stopped  making what she says is the only blue cheese that works perfectly for it. She wrote to the corporation to complain, and so did enough other people that Kraft started making it again. Th e recipe has been in her family for 50 years.

Cheese Ball

1 jar Kraft Roka Blue Cheese

1 jar old English cheese

2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese

3 teaspoons white vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Mix together blue cheese, old English cheese, cream cheese, vinegar, and garlic powder, using your hands if you like. Form a ball and roll in chopped pecans or walnuts.
