Chamber begins restaurant week Aug. 17

Local Sylvania restaurants have paired up the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce to host its first restaurant week.

Savour Sylvania Restaurant Week will take place from Aug. 17-23. To kick off the week a special dining event will be held Aug. 17 featuring food and wine samples from local restaurants and music performed by local musicians will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Historical Train Barn, 5717 Main St.

Restaurants participating in the kickoff event include Avenue Bistro, Charlie’s Restaurant, Ciao Ristorante, Element 112, and Mancy’s Italian.

Tickets are $35 per person and $65 per couple. Net proceeds will benefit culinary scholarships. For tickets call 419-882-2135 or email admin@sylvaniachamber.org.
