Toledo Botanical Garden's spring plant sale is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Sunday. It's in a new location in the garden this year, the greenhouses off the entrance at 5434 Bancroft St., west of Reynolds Road(not the Elmer Drive entrance). A broad selection of perennials, hanging baskets, Oak Opening natives, roses, dahlias, herbs, vegetables, trees, shrubs, and more will be sold. In addition, six hour-long workshops ($15 for nonmembers, $10 for members) will be held in the Crosby Conference Center, to which people can walk or take a continuously running tram from the plant-sale area. Saturday's workshops are: 10 a.m., sculpture and architecture in the garden; 11:30 a.m., herb gardening; 1 p.m., large-container displays. Sunday's schedule is: 10 a.m., native plants; 11:30 a.m., ornamental trees; 1 p.m., bonsai (costs an additional $10 for materials). For workshop registration and information, call 419-536-5566.

Sauder Village presents its annual Spring on the Farm from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. A full day of hands-on activities will allow visitors to experience what life on an Ohio farm was like more than a century ago. Sheep-shearing demonstrations, baby animal visits, horseradish grating, and old-fashioned games are part of the experience. Performances by Cedarville, Ohio, folk musician and storyteller Bob Ford will be presented throughout the day. Sauder Village is open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays through May 29, when hours will change for the summer.
