DUBLIN, Ohio - Tiger Woods, who three-peated yesterday as Memorial Tournament champion, is making people forget about the Hogans, Palmers and Nicklauses.

Is he about to also supplant folks like Tom Fazio, Rees Jones and Toledo's Art Hills?

Woods said at Muirfield Village Golf Club that course design may well be in his not-too-distant future.

“I know it is fun to be creative and turn nothing into something,'' Woods said. “I'm sure there will come a point in time when I will want to do that. I'll cut back on some of my sponsorship obligations and get involved with course design.

“When?

“It's not an immediate priority. I like where I'm at right now. I'm sure that will change over time, though.''

And will a Tiger Woods course have three tee boxes - long, longer and longest?

“You really don't have to have the hole 470, 480 yards for it to be a challenging hole,'' said Tiger, who feels innovative bunkering techniques may be the best way to toughen a course.
