Pak leads Jamie Farr Classic by 5 strokes after second round

Se Ri Pak increased her lead in the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Friday in the second round, taking a five-stroke advantage into the weekend.

Pak shot a 3-under 68 at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, bringing her two-day total to 11-under. Rookie Jin Young Pak (no relation) is five shots back after shooting a 69 in the second round.

The low round of the day came from Meg Mallon, who carded a 65 to move into a tie for third place at 5-under. Carri Wood shot a 69 in the morning to also move into third.

Jimin Kang and Morgan Pressel are tied for fourth place, each at 4-under for the tournament. The field will be cut in half Friday night.
