    THE BASICS:

    WHAT: Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, presented by Kroger, Owens Corning and O-I, a stop on the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour.

    WHERE: Highland Meadows Golf Club, 7455 Erie St., Sylvania.

    WHEN: Begins Monday, with tournament competition Thursday through Sunday.

    PURSE: $1,300,000; winner receives $195,000.

    FIELD: 144 (141 pros, 1 amateur, plus 2 starters from Monday qualifier at Sylvania Country Club).

    FORMAT: 72-hole stroke play. Field will be cut to the low 70 scores and ties after 36 holes.

    DEFENDING CHAMPION: Na Yeon Choi (2010).

    PROCEEDS: All Farr Classic proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, Aurora House, Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo, Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center, Feed Lucas County Children, Kids Unlimited, Mom’s House, The Victory Center, YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo, and the Jamie Farr Scholarship Fund.

    7:30 a.m.: Mercy/Lucas County Healthy Communities Foundation Pro-Am.

    11 a.m.: KeyBank Putting Pro-Am.

    1:30 p.m.: Hylant Group/UMI Metals/Heidtman Steel Pro-Am.

    TUESDAY

    8 a.m.: Brooks Insurance/Health Care REIT Pro-Am, at Inverness Club.

    3 p.m.: The Image Group Celebrity/ LPGA Challenge. (Begins at hole No. 10)

    6 p.m.: The Hollywood Casino Gala Dinner and Show, SeaGate Centre. (LPGA practice rounds throughout day.)

    WEDNESDAY

    7-9:20 a.m. and 12:10-2:20 p.m.: Fathead Celebrity Pro-Am.

    THURSDAY

    7:30-9:20 a.m. and 12:15-2:05 p.m.: Farr Classic first round, threesomes off Nos. 1 and 10 tees with tee times at 10-minute intervals.

    FRIDAY

    7:30-9:20 a.m. and 12:15-2:05 p.m.: Farr Classic second round, threesomes off Nos. 1 and 10 tees with tee times at 10-minute intervals. (AT&T Real Yellow Pages Day).

    SATURDAY

    Times TBA: Farr Classic third round, twosomes off No. 1 tee. (The Blade Day).

    SUNDAY

    Times TBA: Farr Classic fourth round, twosomes off No. 1 tee. Award ceremony to follow completion of round at No. 18 green. (Carrabba’s Championship Day).

    Daily grounds tickets ($15 Monday through Friday; $20 Saturday and Sunday) are available at main gate. Advance ticket sales, plus information on The Blade Charity Ticket Program, available online at www.jamiefarrtoledoclassic.com.

    Located at the public parking lot. Will-call will be staffed during the following hours:

    ■ Monday: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

    ■ Tuesday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

    ■ Wednesday: 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

    ■ Thursday: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

    ■ Friday: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

    ■ Saturday: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.

    ■ Sunday: 6 a.m.-3 p.m.


    PUBLIC PARKING:

    Public parking is located at the northeast corner of Centennial and Brint roads. A $5 daily fee or $10 weekly fee includes shuttle-bus service to and from the main gate.

    Parking at Highland Meadows Golf Club will be by pass only.

     

    ADMISSION RULES:

    Cell phones and beepers are not permitted. Cameras will be allowed on the grounds Monday through Wednesday, but not on competition days. Portable chairs are permitted. No radios, TVs, picnic baskets, coolers, food or beverages may be brought onto the grounds.

    All patrons and any items they carry will be subject to inspection by security and local law-enforcement officials. Admission passes must be displayed at all times
