SCOUTING REPORT: Completed 175 of 272 passes (64.3 per cent) for 3,014 yards and 44 TDs with 4 interceptions, playing in the fourth quarter just three times.

REMARKS: "We use four or five receivers, and he's gone against a lot of blitzes and stunts, and he finds the open guy," coach Kris Alge said.

ALDRICH SAYS: "I can see things happen going up to the line, the defense they're in and what's going to be open."

Dave Mason

SCHOOL: Gibsonburg

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 5-11, 215

POSITION: Running back

SCOUTING REPORT: Capped an outstanding career with 2,203 rushing yards and 172 points in 11 games. Mason ran for 5,985 yards in his career, tied for fifth all-time in Ohio.

REMARKS: "Dave is just a well-rounded human being," coach Tom Peiffer said. "Everything he does, he does with the ultimate effort."

MASON SAYS: "It's just been great. When I started off as a freshman, I didn't expect to accomplish these things."

B.J. Gall

SCHOOL: St. Francis

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 5-7, 151

POSITION: Running back

SCOUTING REPORT: Gall won the City League rushing title with 1,416 yards on 226 carries (6.3 average) and scored 15 TDs.

REMARKS: "He's quicker than people give him credit for and he has great vision for finding holes and cutback lanes," coach Dick Cromwell said.

GALL SAYS: "You've got to have the passion to stick it out. When you have that in your heart, you don't feel the pain until after the game."

Drushaun Humphrey

SCHOOL: Rogers

CLASS: Junior

SIZE: 6-3, 232

POSITION: Running back

SCOUTING REPORT: Offered a scholarship to Ohio State at a football camp last summer, Humphrey has been clocked at 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. He rushed 129 times for 1,107 yards (8.6 average) and scored 19 TDs in 10 games.

REMARKS: "Dru has the most God-given ability of any athlete I've seen around Toledo," coach Rick Rios said.

HUMPHREY SAYS: "I try to make big plays all the time. I need to run more north and south."

Pete Lepley

SCHOOL: Bellevue

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 6-1, 190

POSITION: Wide receiver

SCOUTING REPORT: A quarterback's dream. He's a big target with exceptional speed and great, reliable hands.

REMARKS: "He was first team All-Ohio as a junior," coach Ed Nasonti said. "He's gone above and beyond our expectations this season."

LEPLEY SAYS: "It's all worked out for me. All the drills we've done to learn how to get open have paid off."

Rob Carmony

SCHOOL: Woodward

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 5-9, 185

POSITION: Wide receiver

SCOUTING REPORT: With deceptive speed and agility, he attacks balls thrown his way. Carmony led the City League with 44 catches for 950 yards, including nine receptions for 240 yards against CL-champ Rogers.

REMARKS: "He's not the fastest

guy, but he knows how to get

open," coach Mel Minnfield said.

CARMONY SAYS: "I run good patterns and I just go to the ball when it's in the air."

Tarell Baldwin

SCHOOL: Waite

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 6-41/2, 335

POSITION: Offensive line

SCOUTING REPORT: An outstanding drive blocker at tackle, Baldwin often simply overpowered opposing linemen. And, he's a 3.56 student.

REMARKS: "When we needed yards, we went behind Tarell," coach Charlie Delker said. "He rarely misses a block."

BALDWIN SAYS: "I've got good feet from playing basketball, and I've got a lot of heart. I try to take advantage of my intelligence and find the easy way to make a block."

Joel Summersett

SCHOOL: Otsego

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 6-4, 230

POSITION: Offensive line

SCOUTING REPORT: Moved to guard after two years at center, Summersett excelled with his combination of size, agility and intelligence. Recruited by Toledo, BGSU and Kent.

REMARKS: "Joel has done whatever we have asked the past three seasons," coach Dan Cocke said. "He's a tremendous leader."

SUMMERSETT SAYS: "I'm pretty quick for my size and, with four years experience, I know how to block."

Ryan Fitzgerald

SCHOOL: Perkins

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 6-2, 265

POSITION: Offensive line

SCOUTING REPORT: Was top

blocker for top-ranked Perkins, which won the Division IV state title last year, won 26 games in a row and averaged 410 yards per game.

REMARKS: "We run the ball a lot and he's the guy we count on when we need key yards," coach Rock Farlow said.

FITZGERALD SAYS: "What makes me look good are the good backs behind me. As long as I use good technique, they find the holes."

Brant Carroll

SCHOOL: Anthony Wayne

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 5-10, 230

POSITION: Offensive line

SCOUTING REPORT: Relies on quickness and steady footwork to get job done.

REMARKS: "He's a great high school pulling guard. He's very athletic, has good feet and is very physical," coach Craig Smith said.

CARROLL SAYS: "I was all-league, all-district and all-state honorable mention last year. I just tried as hard as I did last year."

Ed Severhof

SCHOOL: Lake

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 6-1, 210

POSITION: Offensive line

SCOUTING REPORT: An excellent blocker, especially as a pulling guard, Severhof was top player for 8-3 Lake squad. An even better defensive player, he started four years at line-

backer and had over 500 career tackles.

REMARKS: "He's one of the premier linemen in the SLL," coach Jim Kubuske said.

SEVERHOF SAYS: "They throw so many different defenses at you, it makes every game an adventure trying to stop it."

Juan Romero

SCHOOL: Perkins

CLASS: Senior

SIZE: 5-9, 165

POSITION: Kicker

SCOUTING REPORT: Has hit 54 of 60 PATs and is 5-for-8 on field goals with a long of 51 yards. Twenty-five times has pinned opponents inside the 20 on kickoffs.

REMARKS: "We're a ball-control offense, so to constantly have the advantage of good field position is such a bonus," coach Rick Farlow said.

ROMERO SAYS: "Practice, my holder and my snapper, those are the main things that have helped me out," Romero said.
