Girls basketball roundup: Hairston, Davis lead Bowsher over Rogers

Kamesha Hairston had 28 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals to lead Bowsher last night in a 73-32 rout of Rogers in City League girls basketball.

Jazlyn Davis had a triple-double for the host Rebels (16-2, 8-1) with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

Octavia Griswold paced Rogers (2-15, 2-7) with 10.

ST. URSULA 71, WOODWARD 68

Kaycie Carr threw in 11 of her game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter for the Arrows (7-10, 5-4). Carr also contributed 13 rebounds.

Andrea Romano chipped in with 12 points.

Markesha Hudgins scored 23 points, Ebony Jones 21 and Misti Horton 17 for Woodward (8-10, 3-6), which hit nine 3-pointers.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC 67, NOTRE DAME 43

Central Catholic led 38-17 by halftime in a game played at St. Francis.

Kelly Helvey led the Irish (15-2, 9-0) with 17 points and Lauren Muller added 12. Shayla Bell led Notre Dame (9-8, 5-4) with 21.

SCOTT 77, WAITE 33

The Bulldogs rolled at home with four in double figures - Sharonda Willis 20, Krystle Sudduth 15, Mattie Mays 14 and Cynthia Wright 10.

Antoinette Boose led Waite with 10 points.

START 56, LIBBEY 39

At Libbey, Brooke Walker paced the Spartans with 22 points and Che Rogers added 14.

Janea Wilson topped Libbey with 20. Jasmine Hunt had 11.

CLAY 49, WHITMER 43

Kate Achter canned 12 of 16 foul shots on her way to 22 points for Clay (13-5).

Bridget Buss led visiting Whitmer (4-11) with 16 points and Danielle Hinz added 10.
