Northern Lakes roundup: Southview tops Rossford 53-48

Rossford led by 10 points at the half, but Southview surged ahead with a 17-6 third quarter run and then hit free throws down the stretch to knock off the Bulldogs 53-48 last night.

Mike Norris finished the game with 15 points, 6 steals and was 7 of 10 from the line. Nate Smith added 12 points for Southview (10-4, 14-6), which shot 47 percent from the field.

Southview held NLL scoring leader Kyle Ingraham, who was averaging 17.5 points per game, to 13 points. Darren Paige added 12 for the Bulldogs (8-12, 6-8).

The visiting Generals hit 30 of 39 foul shots to Northview's 18 of 22 in a game loaded with whistles.

AW hit 16 of 19 from the line in the fourth quarter.

Brad Wimmer paced AW (13-7, 8-6) with 17 points, John Hoover and Alex Sherman each had 13 and Jeff Telmanik 10.

Matt Harsh paced Northview (7-13, 6-8) with 19, Adam Hirschfeld had 14 and Josh Doane 12.

Matt Kelly scored 14 of his 23 points in the third quarter when the Blue Devils outscored Bowling Green 26-14.

Marquie Hayes added 16 points and Matt Hall 12 for Springfield (7-13, 5-9).

Chris Hanna led Bowling Green (3-17, 2-12) with 19, Eric Radabaugh had 17 and Justin Rex and Jimmy Green each had 10.
