Perrysburg rode a 28-17 third-quarter advantage to a 73-66 Northern Lakes League boys basketball victory over Anthony Wayne last night on the Generals' floor.

Mike Dhondt paced the Jackets (1-2, 1-1) with 20 points, including all three of Perrysburg's treys.

Anthony Wayne hit 11 treys, but by working inside, Perrysburg outscored AW at the foul line 22-7.

Jason Enix added 14, Mark Badenhop 12 and Ryan Lewandowski 10 for Perrysburg.

Anthony Wayne (1-3, 0-2) got 16 from Brad Wimmer, 15 from Mark Rairigh and 10 apiece from Alex Sherman and Adam Langhals.

NORTHVIEW 69, ROSSFORD 51

Northview jumped to a 9-0 lead and led 18-7 after one quarter.

Adam Hirschfeld led Northview (2-2, 2-0 NLL) with 18 points, Cody Shoemaker added 16 and Matt Harsh 14.

Kyle Ingraham paced Rossford (2-2, 0-2) with 15 points and Darren Paige added 11.

Northview had a 32-19 rebounding advantage.

BOWLING GREEN 50, SPRINGFIELD 28

Bowling Green jumped to a 15-2 lead after one quarter, then controlled the boards, and Springfield could not recover.

Michael Graffin led Bowling Green (2-1, 2-0 NLL) with 15 points.

Matt Decker led Springfield (1-2, 1-1) with eight points.

OTSEGO 60, NORTHWOOD 59

TONTOGANY - Damien Montelongo scored 16 points and Otsego (2-1) survived when Northwood missed a shot, and then a tip attempt at the buzzer.

Chad Zellin and Jordan Murphy each scored 12 for Otsego - Zellin on four treys and Murphy on six 2-pointers.

Matt Donegan led Northwood with 20 points.

OTTAWA HILLS 73, GIBSONBURG 50

GIBSONBURG - Kyle Lindsay and Mike Quinlan each scored 19 points apiece to pace Ottawa Hills.

Samit Biswas added 14 and Sanjay Dasani had 10.

B.J. Ernsthausen led Gibsonburg with 12 and Ryan Wasserman had 10.

FREMONT ST. JOE 68, CARDINAL STRITCH 57

David Babione scored 23 points to pace 4-1 St. Joe.

Shawn Gargac led Stritch with 14 and Craig Heuring added 11.

HILLSDALE 68, MONTPELIER 43

MONTPELIER - After leading 27-18 at the half, Hillsdale pulled away with a 24-9 third quarter advantage.

Mike Vogle led Hillsdale, which had a 38-23 edge in rebounding, with 19 points.

B.J. Ogden had 19 points for Montpelier.

WHITEFORD 71, EMMANUEL BAPTIST 63

Anthony Miracola hit five treys toward his total of 30 points for Whiteford, which outscored Emmanuel Baptist 40-25 in the second half.

Joe Gust added 13 points and Bobby Plumer 12 for the Bobcats.

Steve Morris led Emmanuel Baptist with 21 and Lance Bernhard added 16.

MONCLOVA CHRISTIAN 51, NORTHWEST BAPTIST 34

Matt Velazquez scored 25 points and Derek Merrin added 12 for Monclova Christian.

Keith Williams and Andrew Edwards led Northwest Baptist with 11 each.

FAYETTE 56, EDGERTON 45

FAYETTE - Shane Kunkle, Tyler Bacon and Heath Armstrong scored 13, 12 and 10 points, respectively, as Fayette pulled away gradually for its first victory of the season.

Chris Everetts and Eric Green netted 11 points apiece for Edgerton.

BEDFORD 46, MONROE SMCC 40

TEMPERANCE, Mich. - Matt Dobberstein scored 20 points, including three treys, to pace Bedford in its opener. Jason Crooks added 10 for the Mules.

Marc Thom led Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central with 16 points.

ERIE MASON 62, SUMMERFIELD 61

ERIE, Mich. - Junior forward Jared England totaled 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Eagles won their opener.

Kyle Upchurch contributed 15 points and seven assists for Erie Mason.

Mark Thorn paced Summerfield (0-1) with 16.

BLISSFIELD 75, SAND CREEK 54

BLISSFIELD, Mich. - Senior guard Manny Bowman scored 18 points and senior center Chris Alcock added 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead Blissfield.

Derek Richards, a guard, led Sand Creek with 15 points.
