Sandusky surprises Fremont Ross in OT

FREMONT - Fremont Ross outscored Sandusky 32-21 in the fourth quarter to force overtime last night, but the Streaks pinned the first Great Lakes League loss on the Little Giants, 89-86, in the last regular season game.

Ryan Williams and Jason Prophet each scored 25 for Sandusky (13-7, 6-4). Nate Matthews added 16 and Dustin Truman 10.

Fremont Ross (17-3, 9-1) got 29 from Luke Lyle, 28 from Chad Clark and 11 from Terrence Jones.

Clark had 16 in the fourth quarter when Ross made up a 70-55 deficit with six minutes left in regulation.

Sandusky made 19 of 25 foul shots. Fremont Ross hit 14 of 24.

Whitmer held off Clay by making 9 of 11 foul shots in the fourth quarter despite hitting just 11 for 18 for the game.

Jermaine Fletcher paced Whitmer (11-9, 6-4) with 13 points and Dan Thompson added 10.

Clay (10-10, 1-9), which hit 4 of 8 foul shots for the game, got 10 points apiece from Brett McDougle and Bryan McDougle.

NAPOLEON - Rob Young scored 23 points, Will Toeppe added 17 and Matt Wittenmyer 12 for Findlay (13-7, 6-4).

Toeppe also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Napoleon (5-15, 2-8) got 12 from Jason Plassman.
