Girls basketball districts: Patrick Henry wins as Creager scores 23

BOWLING GREEN - Karyn Creager scored 23 points to lead Patrick Henry to a 54-53 victory over Lima Central Catholic in a Division II girls district basketball title game last night.

Nicole Meyer added 18 points for the Patriots (20-3).

Angie Daley and Sarah Pitson each had 13 for 17-3 Lima CC.

PH hit 6 of 8 free throws and added six treys. Lima CC went 6 of 9 at the line and hit five treys.

NOTE: Because the PH girls will play a regional semifinal game Wednesday, the boys district semifinal originally scheduled for that day will be moved to Tuesday night at 7:30.

ARCHBOLD 73, SWANTON 46

DEFIANCE - Kendra Stahl had 18, Betsy Stotzer 17 and Amy Wanemacher 16 as Archbold (22-2) breezed.

Jennifer Keesey scored 19 for Swanton (13-11).

BELLEVUE 47, OAK HARBOR 45

OLD FORT - Oak Harbor suffered its first loss as Bellevue hit 18 of 23 foul shots to the Rockets' 11 of 18.

Ashley Hill led Bellevue (21-2) with 22 points and Leslie King added 12 on four treys.

Megan Bodnar scored 17 for the Rockets (22-1) and Jen Moor added 12.

OTTAWA-GLANDORF 57, VAN WERT 47

HAVILAND - After a 12-12 first quarter, Ottawa-Glandorf (22-1) outscored 19-4 Van Wert 19-4 in the second quarter.

Jenni Rosselit led O-G with 14 and Stacey Verhoff added 13.

HOLGATE 54, STRYKER 50

ARCHBOLD - Vanessa Rothman scored 21 points and Alissa Gill and Serena Urdiales added 11 apiece as Holgate won in overtime.

Kamilla Ruffer and Megan Myers each had 13 for Stryker.

McCOMB 41, ARCADIA 31

FINDLAY - McComb's Amber McCullough was the only player in the low-scoring game in double digits - 18 points.

MILLER CITY 44, KALIDA 40

ELIDA - Renee Steffen scored 16 as Miller City (20-3) won in overtime.

Kari Recker led Kalida (18-5) with 19.
