Host Waite was runner-up for the second straight year in its Mary E. Kerr Memorial Invitational wrestling tournament, which concluded last night at the Waite Field House.

The Indians posted 158 team points to tie Lorain Southview for second place behind champion Hilliard Darby, which finished at 198.5.

The Tribe had two individual champions, led by senior 130-pounder Antonio Ramirez, who was voted the tournament s outstanding wrestler. Waite s other champion was senior 103-pounder Kyle Holliday.

Delta placed fourth in the 25-team field, scoring 155 points. The Panthers also had two individual champions with junior Jamison Moss taking the title at 145, and senior Matt Spangler winning at 215.

Maumee also had two champs - Ben Plowman at 160 and Jeremy Carpenter at 189. Start s Alex Abitua won at 119.
