NLL: Bobcats knock Jackets out of 1st

BOWLING GREEN - Michael Graffin and Jeremiah Kollar hit two 3-pointers each in the third quarter last night as Bowling Green expanded a 30-24 halftime lead over Perrysburg to 48-34 and went on to a 67-55 victory.

Ryan Hoehner, a 6-3 sophomore, scored 20 points and added 5 rebounds, 5 blocked shots and 4 assists as the Bobcats (9-3, 5-2) knocked the Yellow Jackets out of a share of the Northern Lakes League lead.

Michael Dhondt led Perrysburg (7-4, 5-3) with 18 points and Joe Caig added 13 points for the Jackets.

Jimmy Green chipped in with 14 points for BG (9-3, 5-3).

The Panthers led by eight at the half, but scored just three points in the third quarter before falling at home in overtime.

Joe McVicker poured in 32 points, including 13 at the free throw line, for Anthony Wayne.

The Generals converted nine of 11 from the charity stripe in overtime.

Maumee continually turned the ball over in the third period and made only one field goal and a free throw. The Panthers (5-7, 3-5) had no scorers in double figures.

Anthony Wayne (5-8, 4-3) got 12 points from Brent Papenfuss.

Visiting Springfield trailed 35-32 after three quarters before exploding for 18 points in the fourth to beat Rossford.

Dee Alexander knocked down 19 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter for the Blue Devils (3-7, 2-5) and Fletcher Noble added 18. Springfield s DeShawn Benison was a force inside with 12 rebounds.

Springfield made 5-of-9 field goal attempts in the final quarter and Noble drained 4-of-4 free throws during the period.

Kevin Keller talled 13 points, Sean Kanary 11, and Andrew Schumacher 10 for Rossford (4-8, 1-7).
