TAAC: Ottawa Hills wins; Danbury tops MV

Chris Wilson and Brian Buckey threw in 22 and 20 points, respectively, as Ottawa Hills hammered Toledo Christian 75-50 last night in Toledo Area Athletic Conference boys basketball.

Samit Biswas added 16 for the visiting Green Bears (10-2, 4-1), who made 51 percent of their two-point tries (24-of-47) and led 36-19 at the half.

Matt Boggs scored 19 and Andrew Boggs chipped in 10 for the Eagles (5-6, 2-3).

Ottawa Hills also outscored Toledo Christian 15-8 at the foul line and out-rebounded the Eagles 33-27.

Jake Fanning scored 17 of his game-high 32 points in the second half when Danbury outscored the home team 47-26 to stay perfect in the TAAC.

Eric Ludrowski contributed 24 points and Jared Ensign had 12 for the Lakers (11-1, 5-0).

Craig Choka paced the Hawks (3-6, 2-3) with 18 points and Jamie Afridi had 10.

Delence Sheares scored nine points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Maumee Valley.

Both teams scored 22 at the foul line, but the Lakers hit 29 field goals to the home team s 16.

Cardinal Stritch (9-4, 4-2) surged to a 29-10 halftime lead and coasted home as A.J. LaCourse scored 13 points, Joe Eccelston 12, and Marcus Wilber 10.

Eccleston added 12 rebounds and Craig Heuring contributed 10 assists.

Ross Peters led Northwood (1-10, 0-6) with 16 points.

ADRIAN - Bry Mansfield scored 17 points, Scott Glaser chipped in 13 and Wil White had 10 for Lenawee Christian (7-0), Michigan s third-ranked Class D team.

Scott Nietz scored 10 for the Warriors (3-9), who trailed 38-15 at the half.

The Cougars nailed 14 3-pointers, including four by Mansfield, to Emmanuel Baptist s two.
