Michigan: Roelfs, Knab pace Erie Mason over Ida

ERIE - Quarterback Aaron Roelfs helped lead Erie Mason past Ida 14-7 last night, scoring on a one-yard run and completing 8 of 12 passes for 116 yards.

His top target was Mike Knab, who hauled in four passes for 70 yards. Kyle Gayner scored the other TD for the Eagles on a three-yard run.

Lyle Pavuk accounted for Ida's scoring with a five-yard touchdown.

Erie Mason improved to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in the Lenawee County Athletic Association.

Ida fell to 2-3 and 2-2.

Saline 50, Bedford 14

TEMPERANCE - Jim Simpson carried the load for Bedford with 148 yards rushing and two touchdown, but it wasn't enough as the Mules were trounced by Saline.

Bedford's defense allowed 452 yards off total offense to Saline, while record 308 yards.

Nate Kissell and Austin Trott scored two touchdowns a piece for Saline.

Whiteford 21

MORENCI - Ken Warden scored from the 3 with 16 seconds left, but the Bobcats failed on their two-point conversion try.

Corey Love scored on a five-yard touchdown run with 54 seconds left and Anthony Martinez ran in the conversion that provided the winning points for the Bulldogs.

Whiteford's first two touchdowns were tallied by Jed Bunge, on 20 and 5-yard runs.
